Hot Topic

I wrote this poem today after a heated discussion with my boyfriend. I'm not going to state what the conversation was specifically about because it would give the poem's intended meaning away.  After reading the poem myself over and over, I realized this poem can relate to more topics than just the first one it was intended, so I'd rather the reader interpret what they may.  Also... this is not meant to rhyme; however, do note, line moods are antonymous to the preceding.  This is, Hot Topic:

I'm sorry for people who are being steered wrong.
Everyone thinks what they know is right.
If what everyone thinks are polar opposites,
How can everyone contest their truths so similar?
Everyone is so sure,
No one can question.
I'm so sorry for everyone being lead
Contrasting truths, paths, and prophets we follow.
Everyone seems devoted fully to their truths
No one stops to think, what if this is a lie.
To follow a lie is so sad, the thought makes me cry
One's truth gives him a security that makes him smile.
I'm sorry for you, them, and the others
I'm sorry for me, we, my brothers, and mothers
No one knows, but all walk in faith.
This is the beauty of an ugly fate.
These are the remains of a heated debate.
